I am an Associate Professor in the Graduate School of Culture Technology at KAIST, and leading the HCI Tech Lab (Human-centered Interactive Technologies Lab). ​I am also affiliate with the School of Computing, the Graduate School of Metaverse, and the KAIST Robotics Program.

My research focuses on enabling natural user interactions that overcome physical, mental, and social barriers. The research scope would be in the field of Human-Computer Interaction(HCI) enabling novel interactions for XR interfaces. I explore sensing techniques & haptics with the aid of AI technologies. Before joining KAIST, I was a principal engineer at Samsung Research and research engineer at Microsoft Applied Sciences Group. I received my Ph.D. from Purdue University, and M.S. and B.S. from Carnegie Mellon University.
